Daequan Cook Expected to Join Bulls Soon

Daequan Cook cleared waivers on Friday after being waived by the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

He won't be a free agent for long as his agent, Mike Conley Sr., told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Chicago Bulls plan to sign the guard to a rest-of-season contract.

The Bulls were mum on the move.

"When it happens, I'll have thoughts," said head coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Bulls have a hard cap this season, which has limited their ability to bring in a 14th player. Cook's cap number will keep the Bulls just below the hard cap.
