By Waiving Guards Kalin Lucas and Patrick Christopher, @ChicagoBulls Roster Stands at 16

The Chicago Bulls wasted no time adjusting their roster as they waived guards Kalin Lucas and Patrick Christopher on Wednesday, according to Bulls.com.

Lucas and Christopher were never going to make the regular season roster, so the Bulls obviously didn't see the need to keep both players around during the preseason.

The Bulls roster now stands at 16 and they will probably opt to carry just the league minimum of 13 into the regular season as a way to keep their 2014 tax bill as small as possible. The four other players on the roster bubble are Mike James, Dahntay Jones, Dexter Pittman and D.J. White as non of them have any salary protection. Pittman might have the slight edge as the Bulls could use some more cover at the center position. The Bulls may also waive those four and bring in another big man once other teams start releasing players close to the start of the regular season.

The 13th roster spot will carry a salary cap hold of $884,293 which will put their tax bill at $11.94 million.
