Once Max Redfield (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo) decommitted from USC, Notre Dame became the obvious landing spot for the four-star recruit. USC remained in contention to land the future safety, but it's now the Fighting Irish which appear to be pulling to the forefront at the most crucial time.
"Max Redfield has been waffling between Notre Dame and USC for more than a month, but it's looking more like he'll be announcing for the Irish during Friday night's game," Woody Wommack of Rivals.com wrote. "Fellow Irish commit Hunter Bivin has been doing his best to sway Redfield, and it seems as if it might be working. The two have been spending time together during free times and appear to have formed a bond."
