Could Shawn Marion End Up with the Chicago Bulls?

Shawn Marion just completed his 15th season in the NBA and he's still providing solid production. Marion will be a free agent beginning on July 1 and the forward should have plenty of choices for a new team if he and the Dallas Mavericks can't work out a new deal.

“When July 1 comes, I'll look at my options and see which options are best suited to me to add to my legacy,” Marion said. “It's not about money right now. I've made a lot of money in my career. I've been truly been blessed. I'm not taking any of this for granted. I've just got to weigh my options."

With that in mind, ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon lists the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat as possible landing spots.

MacMahon writes: "Marion just happens to still have a home in Miami from his brief stint with the Heat in 2008 and ’09. His hometown of Chicago could also be a fit for Marion."

Playing for the Bulls and especially the Heat would allow Marion a very good chance to win another ring. Both teams may offer someone like Marion $3.28 million next season, which is the amount of the taxpayer mid-level exception.
