Rick Dennison from the Texans to Talk to Da Bearz about Head Coach Spot

The Chicago Bears still are searching for the right man to replace terminated coach Lovie Smith. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that the club has asked for and received permission to interview Houston Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison to fill the vacancy.

Of course, he has a big game to plan for this week, as his Texans square off against the New England Patriots. Presumably, Dennison will meet with the Bears soon. Dennison has a connection to Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Brandon Marshall, as he was the OC when the three of them were still with the Denver Broncos.

Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman, Bucs OC Mike Sullivan, Colts OC Bruce Arians, Broncos OC Mike McCoy, Saints OC Pete Carmichael Jr. and Packers OC Tom Clements are among the other candidates the Bears are reportedly considering at this time.
